Who are we?
Leap is the brand name of the Bucks & MK Sport and Activity Partnership, we’re a social enterprise, and one of 43 Active Partnerships nation-wide, that form a key element of the delivery system for sport across England.
We here at Leap aim to improve the lives of residents across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes through physical activity and sport. Through our work, whether it be leading activity, providing resources or supporting clubs, instructors, coaches and volunteering we help people be more active and are committed to making a difference to the health, wellbeing and success of the county.
Boredom Buster is just one of the ways we are committed to making a difference to you and our county.

Winter Boredom Buster
It’s back! The popular boredom buster launched this summer will be back for Winter, with even more fun activities to get children and young people moving.
The Winter boredom buster will consist of activity game packs that give children and young people fun physical activities to do within their homes during the Christmas break and beyond.
Leap have worked closely with a range of different partners to put together the Boredom Busters. The School Games Organiser network, The Fitness Garden and Onniebucket Ltd have written the exciting fun games for the cards. In terms of distribution in Milton Keynes we are working closely with MK Council Sports Development team through the European City of Sport Programme and Family Centre Lead. In Bucks we are working closely with Bucks Council Family Support Service, Restore Hope, High Wycombe Community Board and Young carers to distribute the activity card packs to Children and Young People. We kindly received funding from The Clare Foundation and High Wycombe Board for the packs.
The aim of the Winter Boredom Buster bags is to give children and young people fun activities and games that they can play inside their homes that get them moving and enjoying being active as a family.
Earlier in November we launched a competition calling all 5 to 18 year olds to design a game or activity, which will form part of the activity pack.
We are delighted to announce our winners:
- Bucks winner – Rachel Smith, aged 15 from Alfriston School
- MK winner – Tiffany-Catherine, aged 4
A big congratulations to both our winners and well done!
