Support for clubs during the Covid-19 pandemic

We understand that the Covid-19 pandemic is a worrying time for all, it has (temporarily) put a stop to all sporting fixtures and getting together for group activity sessions, things we know play a huge part in the lives of so many. However we’re committed to helping to support the clubs who make sport and activity happen across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. We’re in this together and we’ll work to ensure the sector comes out of this in as strong a position as possible.

Financial support

The Covid-19 pandemic is having a huge financial impact across society including the sport and activity sector. There are a number of funds and grants that have already been announced, with new opportunities frequently being released.

With so much information to sift through, we’re compiled a log of the funds and grants we think are most relevant to deliverers, clubs and physical activity organisations in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Some can help with lost income, and some might help with new ideas of how you can evolve your business. We’ll aim to keep this information as up to date as possible, and will also be updating our funding search and sharing updates on our social media channels.

In his words, “We can Skype, Whatsapp, call, email, FaceTime, Tweet…Whatever works for you.”

Be kind

Keep moving

Your club might usually be helping others get and stay active, but we all need some added motivation, or new ideas at times. So don’t forget to invest in your movement to protect and benefit your physical and mental health. Stuck for ideas? Click here for ideas to help keep you moving.

Don’t feel pressured to copy others

Over the last few weeks social media and the internet has exploded with ideas and content as people diversify what they do. Try to resist the temptation to feel like you should be doing what x, y, or z club is doing – we’re all different so try and find what feels right for you.
