At Leap we’re working with local partners to set up and identify coaches and instructors who can support your physical and emotional wellbeing.
We have gathered a list of activities below from coaches and instructors who have undertaken UK Coaching and Mind’s ‘Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity’ workshop and whose sessions should be suitable for people who maybe anxious or worried about joining a new group. Feel free to contact them and ask questions about the sessions before signing up or testing it.

MK Dons Set essions
MK Dons SET (Milton Keynes Dons Sport and Education Trust) are delivering a session for men, 18-25 years old who suffer from a mental health disorder. You can expect the FREE sessions to include exercise, mental health and wellbeing, tips on looking after yourself and integrating into society. Wycombe Wanderers SET – Keep Moving Forward
WWSET strive to help the community and understand the huge demand for mental health recovery and prevention projects. They are working closely with like-minded organisations, to set up various sessions within Wycombe.
Well Being Walk – Every Tuesday from 11am – 1pm Meet at Wycombe Lido
This walk gives people the opportunity to meet a friendly group who are all on a recovery journey, the walk helps to keep people active and walk and talk with people who can support them. It is a very relaxed environment and we even stop for a cup of tea on the way round.
Grow – Every Wednesday 11.30am – 1pm WWSET in partnership with The Community Grow Project will deliver a community allotment session.
Grow is a community allotment session. Learn how to grow all different type of fruit, veg and plants. There are lots of different types of jobs to do, sowing seeds, watering plants, weeding, laying slabs, painting sheds, work inside shed to hang tools safely, and building a seating area near the river.

Sport in Mind, Bucks
Sport in Mind have a simple mission: “To improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems through sport and physical activity”.
Sport in Mind are the UK’s leading mental health sports charity and deliver physical activity (sport, walking, dance and movement, gardening and exercise sessions) projects in partnership with the amazing NHS in order to aid recovery, promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction. We are passionate about using sport and physical activity for good, but we’re not just here for sporty, super fit people – our service is here for EVERYONE! If you’ve not taken part in sport or exercised for a while we know it can be quite daunting to join a sports group (We feel the same!), but the truth is getting involved with Sport in Mind isn’t about how good you are at sport or how fit you are, it’s simply about HAVING FUN and giving people are bit of a break from everything else that’s going on in their lives.
Since COVID, Sport in Mind have sessions running in Bucks & Milton Keynes.
All of the sessions are free of charge and there is no referral needed. We look forward to seeing you there!

Stoke Mandeville Stadium
Do you want to take part in activities at Stoke Mandeville Stadium but feel you need a little support? Or are you a friendly person with time to support someone in your community to get more active? Either way, our Activity Buddies project could be for you.
Activity Buddies pairs people who need a little extra support with a Buddy who will be with you for a session at the leisure centre, making sure you feel comfortable and at ease. It might be someone you already know, such as a friend or family member. Or we can pair you with a friendly partner who can give you the support you need while you’re at the centre.

Bucks Mind – Online Yoga Group
FREE mindful yoga sessions via Zoom that teach techniques to help manage stress and anxiety. For people recovering from mental health problems, experiencing stress, carers or anyone wanting a gentle introduction to yoga.
The classes are held by a fully trained yoga instructor.
