This 3 hour Specialist safeguarding training is for:
  • designated safeguarding roles, such as lead safeguarding officers and club welfare officers
  • those responsible for recruitment of roles working with children
  • case management groups
  • event management

This multi sport safeguarding training should address the specific needs of the roles concerned providing the opportunity to discuss specific safeguarding issues that arise during the training. Face-to-face training allows delegates to ask questions in a safe environment facilitated by a qualified safeguarding tutor.

Attendees are required to have completed a basic safeguarding course before registering for this course. Those who attend are also asked to bring their NGB safeguarding and protecting children policy and procedures and the job description for the role and responsibilities of the club welfare officer. This will enable individual support to ensure the policies and practices that are in place for your club/organisation are fit for purpose.
