Cycling is a fantastic way to have fun with friends and get your fitness fix; here in Bucks and MK we have one of the best places to do it. From the beautiful rolling hills of the Chilterns to a network of over 150 miles of off-road ‘redway’ cycling routes in Milton Keynes there’s a route for everyone.
There are also a whole host of organised cycling sessions to help you make the most of being in the saddle, including guided rides, big cycling events and social bike rides.
Supported by Buckinghamshire County Council, Wycombe District Council, Chiltern District Council and Leap (the Bucks and MK Sport and Activity Partnership) this year Buckinghamshire welcomed the Women’s Tour following the visit by the Men’s Tour of Britain in 2014. The world’s top female cyclists took on the testing climbs of the Chiltern Hills from Marlow to Hemel Hempstead in Dacorum.

Cycling for children
Give your kids a cycling boost this summer by registering them on a training course. There are lots of cycle activities taking place across the county over the summer holidays including Bikeability courses and basic mountain bike skills training. See our events calendar for full details.

There are over 20 cycling groups and clubs in Buckinghamshire, everything from Saturday morning social riders meeting at the local coffee shop and registered racing clubs to BMX and off-road groups. You can use the British Cycling Club Finder or the CTC Local Groups

British Cycling has a range of free guided ride opportunities across Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire including Sky Ride Local rides with trained Ride Leaders; Breeze Rides aiming to help thousands more women feel confident and comfortable about going on a ride and Ride Social is about regularly connecting people to have fun on a ride.
