Our impact

You can view highlights of our impact through 2017 in the video below.

Moving forwards we want to improve lives through physical activity and sport by reducing the number of inactive residents in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. To ensure we meet this ambition we’ve identified a set of outputs that will contribute to making us successful.

To track our performance against our ambition and the outputs we will update this page with our progress during our strategy period.

To improve lives through sport and physical activity we will:

1. Work with our partners to decrease the percentage of the Bucks and MK population who are inactive.
To do this we will ensure that across all Leap managed and / or funded interventions we engage with a minimum of:
35% inactive participants in 2018/2019
40% inactive participants in 2019/2020
42.5% inactive participants in 2020/2021
45% inactive participants in 2021/2022

2. Work with our mental health partners across Bucks and MK to embed physical activity and sport in prevention and the treatment pathway.
To monitor the effectiveness of our mental wellbeing partnerships we will rate each collaboration between 1 and 5, aiming to score a 4 or 5 in the following percentages of our partnerships:
50% in 2018/2019
60% in 2019/2020
70% in 2020/2021
80% in 2021/2022

3. Secure and maximise investment into the physical activity and sport sector including facility, programme and individual development.
Between 2018 and 2022 we will help to secure investment of at least £1,000,000 into physical activity and sport for Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

4. Work with a broader set of community partners and use physical activity and sport to bring communities together with a focus in growth areas.
We will work to highlight and increase the social value created by physical activity and sport interventions across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes by 2022.
Community Deliverers (incl. Leap) an increase in social value of 20% (TBC)
Leisure Centers an increase in social value of 10% (£2.3 million)
